The Cotentin coast

Leaving from your hotel room at the Hotel de France in Isigny-sur-Mer, you can visit Carentan, capital of the Regional Park of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin.

Then, make halt at Sainte-Mère-Eglise and Utah Beach, in the footsteps of the allies.

Up north, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, a seaside town, boast stunning architecture. You can discover the sailor's chapel, built against the rocks, as a tribute to the perished out on the seas.

At the north-eastern end of the peninsula of Cotentin, Barfleur is considered as one of the most beautiful villages of France. In between your visits to the monuments and strolls along the quays and in the gardens, you'll find some time to taste the mussels of Barfleur, their lobster or other seafood!

At the edge of the peninsula, Cherbourg will welcome you at the final halt before the sea. The transatlantc naval base of the town is a popular stop-over for cruise travellers. During your visit to Cherbourg, you can stroll around parks and gardens, particularly the park of the Château des Ravalets, visit the Muséum Emmanuel Liais ot the Cité de la mer.
